ACTIVITIES
Body and Soul Gold
Starting Sept. 15
Mondays 10:30-11:45 a.m.
Wednesdays from 12:30-1:45 p.m. after Bible class
Body and Soul Gold is now a hybrid program, meeting on Zoom and in the Ministry Center simultaneously. This low impact exercise class is set to Christian music and led by a Certified Group Instructor. The intent is to raise the heart rate and strengthen the body aiding balance and proper, deliberate movement as we age. It’s also a great way to gain strength back after an injury or as a follow up to PT.
Social Bridge
Tuesdays from 9:30 -noon
Social Bridge meets in person in the Back 40 (third floor of the church office building, 6565 Arlington Blvd). All levels play, whether you’re new to cards or have been playing since college!
Safe Haven
Through December
First Thursday of the month & the Wednesday immediately preceding
Food for the day shelter Safe Haven is now being prepared in the Narthex kitchenette and then delivered to 1st Christian Church (6165 Leesburg Pike) where the food is handed directly to people waiting in their cars. We prepare the food over the course of two days. To be placed on the work schedule, please contact Jenny Byrne.
Personal History Writing Group
Tuesdays from 9:30-noon (Virtual)
The Personal History Writers are entirely on Zoom. Write a story on an assigned topic to be read to the group the following week. There is room in the class for a couple more writers. Please contact Jenny Byrne if interested in writing.
